SINGAPORE – A 46-year-old man was arrested for dangerous driving causing hurt after an accident between his car and a motorcycle in Jalan Besar on July 12.
A 28-year-old male motorcyclist was taken conscious to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, said the police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force in response to media queries on July 13.
The authorities were alerted to the accident, which had taken place at the junction of Kitchener Road and Jalan Besar, at 9.40pm on July 12.
In a video posted on Facebook group SGRV Admin on July 13, a dark-coloured car can be seen going through a junction while the light for traffic in the opposite direction is red.
A motorcycle is seen crossing the same junction from the car’s right.
In the next frame, the car has come to a stop by the side of the road, and the motorcyclist is on the ground writhing.
Police investigations are ongoing.
